Lately I’ve been loving Vega One protein smoothies for breakfast. Being vegetarian, I sometimes find it difficult to get enough protein in my diet. The Vega protein powders are a great way to sneak an extra 20 grams of protein into your day without adding too many calories or grams of sugar. I’ve been trying out a few different recipes from their web page and so far this raspberry mint basil smoothie is my favourite. - 1 scoop French Vanilla Vega One powder
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup frozen mango
- 1/2 cup frozen raspberry
- 1 ripe banana
- 6-8 mint leaves
- 4-6 basil leaves
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy! I usually use an immersion blender for smoothies but we also have a Magic Bullet that Jonathan swears is the best thing to ever happen to breakfast smoothie making.
