Spiced Carrot Juice


There has been a particularly nasty flu going around my office all winter. So far I’ve managed to avoid it, however after a few late nights last week I could feel myself getting run down. Whenever I am under the weather I can usually prevent myself from getting sick by adding ginger to my diet. I’ll grate some into my travel mug and drink it mixed with chamomile tea all day at work. Ginger cleanses the lymphatic system, preventing the build up of toxins and boosting the immune system. I decided to try juicing with ginger to get an added boost in vitamins and minerals. With a healthy dose of ginger, cayenne, and spinach this spiced carrot juice from The Juicing Bible will have you back to your healthy self in no time.

Spiced Carrot Juice

3 carrots

1 spear of broccoli

1/2 cup of spinach leaves

1/2 inch of ginger root

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
